What we prove
A verification service is only as good as the precision of its claims. These are ours.
An OnlyHere page shows
- The page owner passed a government-ID and liveness check with our identity partner before the page went live.
- On the date shown, the owner placed a one-time code on each listed channel, and our browser read it from the public profile. We hold a dated capture of each proof.
- The platforms listed under "Where I am not" and the contact rules are the owner's own statements.
- The "checked" date on the stamp is the last date every listed channel was rechecked.
A capsule shows
- A specific set of files existed, unchanged, no later than the time certified by each timestamp authority.
- Each capsule is chained to the one before it.
Neither shows
- Who appears in the capsule files. The identity check covers the account holder, not the media.
- That any other piece of media is fake. That assessment is for a forensic examiner, who can use the capsule as a dated baseline.
- Anything about accounts that aren't listed, beyond the plain fact that they aren't listed.
What we never do
- Publish anything about a third party. Findings go privately to the page owner.
- Hold your photos, voice or video. We keep fingerprints and timestamp tokens only.
- Ask for your passwords, login codes or access to your accounts.
