The check runs in your browser against the creator's public list. We don't keep what you paste. Try it with our fictional creator, Sami Rahal.
What the answers mean
On their list. The account is one the creator proved they control with a one-time code, and we checked it recently. It doesn't mean every message from it is safe; accounts can be taken over.
Not on their list. The creator says every account they run is on their page. An account missing from it isn't theirs, whatever its photo, name or follower count says.

Doesn't say who posted it. Some links point to a single post or video. Open it, tap the account that posted it and check that account instead.
